Who We Are

Coach Pat

14U/17U Coach

Patrick Wright is the President and Coach for Belton Blaze Basketball. After years of coaching throughout the Central Texas area, Coach Pat decided to start his own organization. His vision is for the organization to be known for 3 things: development, competition and family. Those core pillars of the organization are brought to the gym each and every day by Coach Pat.

Those pillars filter from the coaches, players, and parents, so that anyone involved with Belton Blaze basketball understands that those three things will not be compromised.  The goal is that every coach, player and parent enjoys their time spent with Blaze Basketball, and knows that once you are with Blaze Basketball, you are with family.

Coach Caitlyn

11U Coach

Hi everyone! My name is Caitlyn Corley, and I am from a small town in West Texas called Coahoma. I grew up there and graduated from Coahoma High School, where attending a small 3A school gave me the opportunity to compete in multiple sports. I played basketball, volleyball, softball, and track, which helped shape my love for athletics and teamwork.

Basketball has always been my passion, and I was fortunate to continue playing at the collegiate level for four years at Sul Ross State University, competing at the Division II and III levels. Through those experiences, I learned the importance of discipline, effort, and character—both on and off the court.

I truly believe my purpose as a coach is to help young athletes grow into confident, hardworking, and respectful individuals while developing their basketball skills. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment where 5th and 6th graders can learn fundamentals, build confidence, and develop a love for the game while understanding the value of teamwork and sportsmanship.

I am excited and motivated to be part of this AAU program and look forward to helping our athletes grow, compete, and have fun while representing our team with pride.

Coach Lockett

14U Coach

With six years of coaching experience at the middle school level, Coach Erin Lockett has built a strong foundation in developing young athletes both on and off the court. For four of those years, she served as the Head Basketball Coach in Copperas Cove, where she led the program with a focus on discipline, teamwork, and competitive excellence. In addition to school coaching, Coach Lockett is currently in her third year of coaching AAU basketball, gaining valuable experience working with athletes in a highly competitive and fast-paced environment. Throughout her coaching career, her teams have achieved multiple tournament championship wins, reflecting commitment to preparation, player development, and a winning culture.

Focusing on her coaching philosophy, Coach Lockett believes success starts with mastering fundamental skills—footwork, ball handling, shooting mechanics, and basketball IQ—while also emphasizing character, accountability, and resilience. She strives to create an environment where players are challenged, supported, and motivated to grow both athletically and personally.

Her goal is to help each player reach their full potential, not only as a basketball player but as a confident and responsible individual prepared for success on and off the court.

Coach Hendo

15U/17U Assistant Coach

I’m a coach who brings a competitive, disciplined, and team-first approach to everything I do. My journey started in Fresno, CA, where I played at Sunnyside High School and Reedley College before serving in the U.S. Army from 2013–2018.

During my time in the Army, I competed on the All-Army Basketball Team, winning gold medals in 2016 and 2017. I’ve also won multiple Military National Championships with the Fort Hood Phantom Warriors, earning Defensive MVP and Tournament MVP honors. Professionally, I’ve played with the Griga Dream Ballers, where I’ve been recognized as Defensive Player of the Year and a Top 5 MVP candidate.

As a coach, I focus on building disciplined, high-effort teams that compete on every possession. My goal is to develop players who understand the game, embrace accountability, and carry winning habits both on and off the court.
